Join other parents as you prepare your mind, body and heart for the challenges of labour and parenthood. Birthing From Within © advocates an approach that is as unique as you are; there isn't one "right" way to birth and parent!

Intimate groups of six couples allow the classes to be responsive and personal. Birthing From Within © employs discussion and creative activities to explore and validate your strengths as you learn about the wide range of options available to you in labour, birth and the postpartum period.

Included in the classes:

• Understanding stages of labour


• Learning pain coping practices


• Preparing for postpartum and baby care


• Creating a comfortable space at the hospital and/or at home


• Coping with unexpected or unwanted events in labour


• Special class for partners/support people


• Coping with the transition to parenthood


• Postpartum reunion

Cost: $250 per couple
Fee includes all materials, including the Birthing From Within text from our library. New copies of Birthing From Within are also available for purchase for $25 (list cost is $30).

At times classes fill up to a month is advance.
To register, please fill out the Registration Form and send it with a cheque made out to Adar Birth Services (address on form).
